Does Courseware Studio Replace Articulate Storyline?

Not necessarily. Storyline 360 is an authoring environment for building interactive eLearning experiences. Courseware Studio is designed to accelerate the planning and production work that can happen before detailed authoring and to organize the assets used afterward.

Courseware Studio can produce the course foundation while detailed authoring continues in the tools your team already uses.

Use each tool for the job it does well

  • Use Courseware Studio to create and approve the syllabus, produce coordinated course content, labs, assessments, manuals, media, and other package assets.
  • Use Courseware Publisher when you want an eLearning Import Package prepared for continued work in Storyline 360, Captivate 13, or iSpring Suite.
  • Use Storyline when your project needs Storyline-specific interaction design, timeline work, triggers, states, or other detailed authoring decisions.

The handoff is intentional

Courseware Studio does not fabricate a native proprietary .story project file and does not claim an Articulate partnership or certification. The value is reducing upstream courseware production while leaving detailed authoring in the tool your team already uses.
